Orders could no longer skip steps or enter invalid states. A programmatic state management framework controlled progression through eight defined lifecycle stages, giving operations full confidence in where any order stood at any moment.
Frontend Validation and Pre-Submission Controls
Problems that had previously surfaced as downstream integration failures now surfaced at the point of entry where they could actually be fixed. The validation layer enforced required fields, pricing completeness, date formatting, and submission readiness before anything moved forward.
ASN and Invoice Submission
Both the ASN and invoice modules connected cleanly to the existing integration layer without custom workarounds. Required field enforcement and line-level validation ensured submissions were complete before automated downstream routing was triggered.
Pricing Enforcement and Override Logic
Every pricing decision left a traceable record. Override enforcement was aligned to the client's actual pricing rules, with clear indicators for scale pricing tiers, forecast-only restrictions, and mandatory justification capture for any active override.
Unified Error Handling
Integration failures stopped being dead ends and became actionable notifications. A unified error handling framework across all touchpoints interpreted HTTP response codes, parsed rejection messages, and returned plain-language guidance to users rather than raw error output.
