Strategic Impact

Our Approach

Grounded Matter Intelligence
The engagement began by translating litigation review work into clear agent behaviors: matter orientation, chronology building, inconsistency analysis, deposition preparation, privilege screening, and targeted factual questions. The design kept attorney verification central by requiring responses to point back to supporting documents and pages.
Tenant-Contained Knowledge Architecture
Matter content remained inside the firm's Microsoft 365 environment rather than being sent through third-party connectors or external model providers. The knowledge design used the firm's existing document estate as the basis for case analysis while preserving tenant governance.
Timeline and Inconsistency Analysis
The agent organized dates, events, parties, witness statements, and documentary evidence into working case context attorneys could query in plain English. It also surfaced conflicting statements and gaps in the record so teams could focus review where legal judgment was needed.
Deposition and Review Support
Witness-focused outputs brought prior statements, relevant documents, and potential areas of inquiry together for deposition preparation. Privilege and sensitivity screening provided an additional review signal before production, with final decisions remaining with attorneys.
Access Controls, Validation, and Handover
Matter-level access followed existing SharePoint permissions so users saw only the cases they were authorized to access. Testing focused on citation traceability, permission behavior, representative attorney questions, and a controlled handover with administration and usage guidance.

The Impact

Litigation teams gained a faster way to orient to large matters, trace facts across the record, prepare for depositions, and surface material needing attorney review. Because answers pointed back to source documents and matter access followed existing permissions, attorneys could verify the agent's work without replacing professional judgment.

A discovery workshop mapped the litigation team's document-review patterns, recurring attorney questions, matter access boundaries, and source-verification requirements.

The resulting requirements shaped the agent's grounded Q&A, case chronology, witness preparation, review screening, and permission-aware architecture.
